In 2019, I was inspired and excited about my music - after a long hiatus, I had released an EP, recorded material for a new album, and was performing that music in my home base of Sonoma County. I was working diligently towards releasing that new album in mid-2020, putting together a collection of songs that had been inspired by areas and experiences in my hometown of Petaluma. Then the world changed - covid hit, we were all in quarantine, and releasing that new album was no longer a priority. As the world healed, it took me a while to find my footing and build the strength to get my music back out in the world. Now that I'm ready to release this music, I'm struck by how much has changed and what a different relationship I have with this music. It's a reflection of a life that I was living before covid; it makes me think, it brings me joy, and it encoruages me to rebuild. I hope that it cloes the same for you.
